Writing Explanation!

This term our focus for writing is explanations. Last week we had to write an explanation on how technology either benefits people or not. Here is my piece of writing.

Title	Technology Itself
Introduction	An advantage always comes with a disadvantage.  In this explanation I will be explaining some of the advantages and disadvantages about being online and having technology.
Information 1st element	Firstly an advantage, an advantage about technology’s existence is that it is a much more efficient way to do things. It is faster and it is a way to learn on a global scale without students having to leave their classroom. When online you can research about things globally, it can occur from anywhere around the world. Luckily, google has been supplied with many websites and blogs that can help provide any information that has been requested. Sadly, with this advantage comes many disadvantages for example scams, ads, and viruses. These can all pop up at any time and on any site. These can cause lags and give other people from anywhere around the world the opportunity to hack into your device and blackmail you, steal your information, catfish you, cyber bully you, stalk you, and many more harmful things. These things can cause death, pain, depression, and suffer.
Information 2nd element	Secondly, another advantage that comes with a disadvantage. Online work and games. It’s easier and faster to type in your work but also you can cheat and with cheating you don’t get anywhere. It’s smarter, and easier to work online too! Something fun online are games. Games and social media. Games are fun but they’re addictive and sometimes being online too much can lead to stress and even sleeping disorder. Stress can harm you by  affecting your thoughts and your behaviour which could lead to depression.
Information 3rd element	The last piece of information I have is that google doesn’t always tell the truth. You may be doing some research and go onto a website like wikipedia, but on wikipedia anyone can add information. If you were to research about history and go onto wikipedia you don’t know if it’s telling the truth or not. Therefore, you will have to go on several websites to see if it has the same information you have been given. This is time consuming, especially if you only have a little bit of time for your research

Water Cycle Plan

In writing this past week our focus has been "The Water Cycle" First, we had to create a plan on how the water cycle works. Here is my  simple plan.

Writing Warmup!

Before we start writing we do a warm up. One of the warm ups we do is Bus Stop. When we play Bus Stop you have to try and  be the first person to finish. There are 10 different categories, we are then given a letter and have to think of something starting with the letter for each category. The first person finished has to say "Bus Stop" They then have to call out their answers. If the letter was A and the the name they chose for girl was Amelia then they would be awarded 10 points, if someone else got a different answer then they would also be awarded 10 points. If they were to have the same answer they would only get 5 points. If they didn't complete the answer they get 0 points. The person with the most points at the end of the game... WINS!

Writing Warm Up

For a writing warm up we played Boggle. Where we had to come up with as many words as we can with the letters given. But it has to have 3 letters and over, also trying to guess the mystery word.
